Flash point is the lowest temperature at which substance vapors mix with air and become flammable in the open air. This method is done according to ASTM D92 standard by using a small flame in the vicinity of the test cell to ignite the vapors.
Technical Characteristics
- Adjustable heater power from 0 to 100 percent
- Equipped with a fan to accelerate the cooling of the heater at the end of the test
- Digital display with ±0.1 accuracy (Instrument sensitivity ±0.1)
Ignition point
The ignition point is the temperature at which the vapors continue to burn for at least 5 seconds after being ignited. Accordingly, measuring the flash point and ignition point requires an ignited source.
