This test is used to determine the number of aromatic compounds in petroleum and hydrocarbon products, especially oils. Products with more aromatic compounds show a lower aniline point due to proper mixing with aniline at low temperature, while the samples containing paraffin compounds (low aromatic) have higher aniline points.
Technical Characteristics
- The temperature range is from Room Temperature to 150 degrees Celsius
- Test cell is resistant to temperature changes (Pyrex) allowing the inlet and outlet of the sample
- With a controllable fixed stirrer inside the cell
- Digital display with ±0.1 sensitivity
- With an announcement feature to signal the end of the test
- Automatically compliant with the test performing standard (ASTM D611)
Temperature controller
- The device is equipped with a microprocessor temperature controller with a PID mechanism and the ability to program the direction of control, temperature stability and exact uniformity required for the test as well as calibrating it with high accuracy.
- The display shows the temperature of the sample and the range of the test.
